“We communicate clearly from the minute you come on board until the end of the project. Through careful planning, consulting and face to face meetings, we create your dream space and ensure everything is done to the highest quality and your exact specifications”, shares owner and Shire local, Josh.

On top of that, the team take on no more than two projects at a time, allowing them to be fully focused and heavily involved. “There are a lot of builders in the Shire, but we are a smaller, more boutique-like business, offering a personalised service”, continues Josh.

“We approach every project as if it were our own, so you can rest assured that quality and attention to detail are our highest priority.”

In light of the events of the last few years, our homes have become an even greater haven than before and Josh acknowledges the importance of updating and crafting new spaces from backyard entertaining areas to kitchen renovations. And that’s just one of the many reasons LongLife Building shines.

“No job is too small. From minor home improvements to full-scale renovations and new builds, we can do it all,” notes Josh.

Offering new builds, renovations, extensions, additions, decks, pergolas, new kitchens, bathrooms and outdoor entertaining areas, the team are keen to get involved with whatever it is you have in mind.

With over 10 years of experience in the building industry and three years running LongLife Building, Josh, and his team of carpenters and apprentices, can assist with the entire build process from layouts to finishes. Along with close working relationships with local architects, plumbers and electricians, amongst others, Josh also has access to a number of trade discounts with companies like Tile Cloud and ABI Interiors.

Before & After

Always seeking to provide a top-notch service, Josh and the team recently welcomed on board Emily, LongLife Building’s resident Interior Designer. Emily assists clients with the visual side of design, drafting up mood boards and Auto Computer-Aided Drawings to aid visualization. So, what design trends can we expect heading into 2022?

“We will always see the classic Hamptons, Coastal design styles, especially by the coastline but we are starting to see more of the classic Colonial/Provincial in the design world.

It is currently very popular in the south part of the States and believe it won’t be long until this style hits Australian homes. It introduces a lot of timeless finishes, cobblestone driveways, sandstone, marble bench tops with marble splash backs. Studio McGee offers great examples of this style.”

LongLife Building won’t be slowing down anytime soon promises Josh. “We will be looking to take on another member mid to end of this year as we have some exciting house transformations in store.”

Always keen to lend a hand, Josh left us with his three best tips for individuals embarking on the new build or renovation journey.

  1. Establish your budget. This is extremely important so you understand what you can do and what you can’t.

  2. Have an idea of the design style you want to achieve and stick to it. Many people will like things from all different design styles which can cause a very unbalanced outcome in a space.

  3. Figure out how much time you have to be involved. If you work full time or have children, you may have very little time on your hands. Consider on boarding an interior designer to assist. There are a lot of discussions to be made and a designer will keep you on track plus manage the main components for you. They provide great services with visual mood boards, samples and Auto CAD which will help you visualise the outcome of your project.”
