To be honest, there’s only one thing that could possibly make a meal in the Shire a little sweeter - a good deal.
We’ve searched high and low for the best meal deals in the Shire for every day of the week, so you can save while you savour.
Monday Meal Deals
While Monday might have earned a rep as everyone’s least favourite day of the week, Monday night dinners should be something you look forward to. Head over to Northies at Cronulla for $17 burgers (and grab a $6.50 house beer, wine or spirit from 4:30pm to 6:30pm whilst you’re there), cut into a 200g rump for $20 at Bangor Tavern, indulge in $10 classic pizzas at Ugly Pizza or enjoy 2 for 1 meals at Huxleys*, Highfield*, Taren Point Hotel* and The Prince* every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Last but certainly not least, score $15 Pizza from Divide8 Gymea from 4:00pm to 6:00pm Monday to Friday. Monday just became your favourite day of the week, right?
Tuesday Meal Deals
After Monday comes Tuesday, and the good deals just keep on rolling. Grab a $10 burger at Huxleys, an $18 schnitty at Bangor Tavern, any 2 pizzas or 2 burgers for just $30 at Ugly Pizza, or a half-priced pizza at Northies.
Wednesday Meal Deals
It’s hump day! Celebrate reaching the halfway point with a $28 pizza and beer combo at Union Place Hotel, $1 wings (yes, you read that right) and a pint for the price of a schooner at Huxleys, $18 fish and chips at Bangor Tavern, or $12 cocktails from 5:00pm to 6:00pm and $20 birria tacos at El Rey.
Thursday Meal Deals
Thursday’s basically the weekend, so why not celebrate with a meal out? Cony’s has $6 tacos and $12 margaritas, Giro Osteria offers a $20 pasta special, Northies serves two-for-one pizza and pub classics, Bangor Tavern dishes up a burger and chips for $15, and Union Place Hotel pairs pasta with wine for $24.
C.C. Babcoq offers a 3-course set menu for $45pp, while El Rey serves $5 tacos with ten options to choose from, plus happy hour from 5:00pm to 6:00pm with $12 margaritas and cocktails.
Friday Meal Deals
You made it to Friday - aka the best day of the week…to go out for a good feed. If you manage to knock off early, head to Taren Point Hotel to nab a $15 burrito or Huxleys for a burger and a bevvy for the same price. Bangor Tavern kicks off the weekend in a similar style with a $25 Surf n Turf. For dinner with a side of cheap sips, Papa Js and Cony’s celebrate the best way they know how. From 4:00pm to 6:00pm, score $15 signature cocktails at Papa J’s or head to Cony’s for 20% off all food and signature cocktails.
Sunday Meal Deals
Weekends are already sweet enough, but thanks to Bangor Tavern and Northies, if you have the kiddos in tow, they’ll eat free while you enjoy a well-deserved glass of wine and bite to eat yourself. Last but not least, Cronulla’s Papa J’s says ciao to the weekend with $3 oysters, until sold out.
