What’s On In The Shire This March
Autumn is a magical time of year
Cambridge Easter Markets
Autumn has officially arrived, and contrary to popular opinion, it's one of our favourite seasons. The sweltering summer temps give way to cooler breezes, the leaves change colours, there’s fewer crowds, incredibly clear water, and evening events start earlier – all positives in our book. Despite the seasonal transition, there's no shortage of things to do this month in the Shire. Discover all that’s happening below!
Jack Gray’s New Margs & Mexican Is A Must
Jack Gray does an inherently good job when it comes to their Friday arvo festivities, and they've just launched a new Mexican menu that everyone is talking about. Starting with a margarita is essential - special mention to the Cucumber Jalapeno Margarita. Their short but mighty food menu covers all your Mexican favourites. Our top picks? Ahi Tuna Mini Crispy Tostadas, Corn Ribs and Fish Tacos.
Scout Tip: Ask for the Biscoff Apple Pie Filled Donut for dessert!
KIN Launches Their Very First Dinner Menu
Nestled in the leafy surrounds of Burraneer Bay, one of our favourite spots, KIN, is debuting its very first dinner service on Friday and Saturday evenings. A feast for all, the menu features the likes of Kingfish Crudo, Pork Belly Roast, and Farfalle Lamb Ragu. It's set to become the only place you'll want to spend your weekends, cocktail in hand of course.
Stroll Through Cronulla’s Easter Market
We can't believe it's time to talk about Easter already, but egg-citement builds when we know the Cambridge Easter Markets are coming to town. Easter time is synonymous with consuming our body weight in chocolate eggs, enjoying a long weekend, and perusing the Easter markets. Scheduled from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday, March 16th and Sunday the 17th, at Don Lucas Reserve, Cronulla, this two-day market showcases brilliant small retailers, an array of cuisines, local homewares, crafts, toys for the kiddies, and so much more!
Don’t Miss Giro Osteria’s Georgian Pop-Up Dinner
With an already packed month of foodie events, Giro Osteria ups the ante by hosting a Georgian Pop-Up Dinner on March 5th at 6:00pm. The head chef, originally from Tbilisi, Georgia, will bring his heritage to life, infusing traditional Georgian flavours into a special set menu for $77pp.
Menai Foodie Markets Are Back
The Menai Foodie Markets are back again on March 8th, from 4:00pm to 9:00pm. Held at Parc Menai, arrive hungry so you’ll be able to eat your way into the evening. There will be over 70 stalls serving up a variety of cuisines, along with live music and fun rides for the little ones.
Drop Into Hazelhurst’s Pizza Pop Up
Nothing says Sunday afternoon like relaxing on the deck at Hazelhurst Cafe, surrounded by lush greenery and park-like grounds. But it gets even better — across two Sundays in March, the 3rd and the 10th, the deck is transforming into a pop-up pizzeria from 4:00pm. Expect good cocktails, great food, and live music.
Eat Your Heart Out At Albi’s Taverna All You Can Eat Pasta
We always love a little all-you-can-eat action and Albi’s all-you-can-eat pasta is no exception. For $39pp on Thursdays, carb load to your heart's content with a variety of pasta and gnocchis on offer. The rules are simple: order one plate, finish it and then order the next.
Give White Horse Coffee’s ‘Soul Of The South’ A go
The Shire’s very own 'White Horse Coffee' has introduced a new seasonal blend devoted to us, aptly named 'Soul of the South’. This beloved National Park Blend captures the Shire’s southern charm with rich notes of Salt Bush, Cedar, and Caramel. It's perfect with milk or as a standalone espresso.
