Home to dance, theatre and martial arts, the studio has embedded itself as a safe space where students of all ages can experience limitless self-expression. In fact, the school, which has been operating for over 28 years, is so ingrained within the Shire community that former students who began their dance journey at just three years old are now returning as parents of young dancers themselves.
Acknowledging that their school can be part of students’ lives for nearly 15 years, the values of respect, growth, joy, belonging and inclusivity are cherished by Natalie and Michael, Shire-locals, founders and Principals of Ettingshausens. Flowing through the generations, Miss Kaye, Natalie’s mum and tap dance aficionado, can even be found in studio every afternoon, ensuring that new students feel welcome and comfortable.
Renowned nationally for the quality of dancers that twirl through their doors, Ettingshausens don’t just offer a competitive program. True, their competition dance classes are unrivalled, but behind the doors of their Kirrawee studio, there is a whole lot more going on.
You’ll find pre-school dance, recreational dance ranging from ballet to hip hop, acro, theatre and an array of specialist martial arts classes.
With over 200 classes a week and 12 in-house studios, it’s one of the largest performing arts schools in The Shire. With so many passionate students, the school is able to employ some of the best teachers Australia has to offer including industry leaders and those with professional performance careers - there’s a specialist in every stream. Ettingshausens Pro
Committed to the art of dance, Ettingshausens are also now proudly operating Ettingshausens Pro - a full-time RTO offering an Advanced Diploma of Professional Dance, ensuring their passion is passed on to the next generation of dancers and dance educators, where many continue on to teach or dance professionally in the industry with dance credits such as Sam Smith, Dua Lipa, Katy Perry and many more.
