Cronulla Pools

Cronulla Pool Founders, Matt and Kate Lainson

Few things in life hit quite like a swim in your very own backyard pool. It’s a place to unwind daily, there’s no need to fight for parking at the beach and most importantly, a pool is a place to gather. Somewhere to invite your friends and family, somewhere for the kids to play and somewhere to find solace after a busy week.

But where to start?

For most people looking to build a pool, it’ll be the first and last time they embark on such an endeavour so you really want to get it right. Matt and Kate of Cronulla Pools work with this knowledge in mind and offer a one-stop shop for those after their dream pool. Based in Caringbah, these guys launched in 2018 and their team of 12 have gone from strength to strength since, snagging plenty of awards along the way including the NSW Concrete Pool Builder Of The Year Award in 2020.

With a construction time of approximately 12 weeks, they’ll sort you from design all the way through construction. Having brought design in-house, the process of design and approval with Cronulla Pools is often as little as a month (keep scrolling for some incredible before and after snaps).

“Where other pool builders might be poor communicators. We prefer to overshare”

“If we anticipate rock, we can give you an estimate on what it could cost to remove. We include pool automation so that you can operate your equipment from the palm of your hand. Once the design is complete we’ll include permanent pool fencing and your additional surrounds. Above everything, what we feel we do well are all those intangible things that really add so much value to the construction process. We communicate. We use the greatest trades who value cleanliness on-site and a job well done. We coordinate exceptionally well, we have lots of projects on the go so we use project management software to keep on top of them all. This gives our clients their schedule and full transparency as to what’s happening each day on site.”

Digital Renders

And the really good news? Cronulla Pools have capacity for early 2023. You can drop them a line now and have a pool for April next year, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy some late autumn dips.

These Shire legends also like to stay ahead of any trends happening in the pool world.

“Smaller plunge pools continue to be a popular choice as yards are getting smaller. Electric heat pumps are a great addition to add heaps of bang for your buck. They operate like a reverse cycle air conditioner and can heat your pool, economically, all year round. Bench seating in the shallow areas of the pool is designed for kids to play or parents to perch. Custom steel pool fences are popular and glass still continues to be a great fencing option.”
